Imagine having to rebuild a new project from scratch every time you want to make a variant of an already existing project. That is needless work that can be taken care of with customization.
Product customization on SwiftXR enables you to create one project that you can tweak, configure and customize to suit your preference without having to rebuild.
This ensures that you don’t waste time duplicating or rebuilding experiences every time you require a small change on a project, while still keeping the core experience intact.
Here’s a step-by step guide to customizing your project on SwiftXR.
Variant Customization
This allows you to customize your product look in terms of material texture and colour.
It is especially useful for sales demonstrations, product launches, etc. to showcase variants of products.
Step 1: Go to Customization Options
Start by clicking Properties > Customization Options > Enable.
Step 2: Customize material
From here, you can decide to customize any part of the product. To do so, click the “Material” drop down and choose the part of the product to customize.
Then go to “Material Colour” and click on the colour you want in the colour scheme, and it will automatically change to the preferred colour.
Step 3: Add New Variant
If you are satisfied with this customization variant, you can add a new variant, by clicking “Add New Variant” and keep going till you are done.
Best Practices
Rename your materials for easy use next time
If your material does not have a white texture, don’t use colour, rather apply another texture as a variant.
Background Customization
You can also decide to change the background colour of the project to suit your brand colour. Simply go to Design > Background > Fill and choose your preferred background colour.
